Weight Loss

I've been chronicling my weight loss journey over on Facebook on a page I created specifically for that purpose a couple of years ago. But Facebook is notorious for not really allowing a ton of space. It's a gimme gimme now now kind of format. Here, I can ramble on endlessly for however many paragraphs that I want and the more verbose I am, the better in the eyes of some people.

 That being said, with the time change kicking my butt, being up for church at o'dark thirty this morning and having to get up tomorrow to go to work, this will be a blissfully short post. I've been a part of a weight loss challenge that's similar to The Biggest Loser for 4 weeks now. From February 8th to the 15th, I lost 4.4 pounds. From the 15th to the 22nd, I lost 3.2 pounds. From the 22nd to the 1st, I lost 2.2 pounds. And from the 1st to March 8th, I lost 1.4 pounds for a total of 11.2 pounds lost. Not a wicked fast rate of weight loss, but that's not what I'm going for. It took me almost 35 years to get to this weight, I don't intend for it all to come off overnight. I want to lose this weight responsibly, by decreasing how much food goes into my body, and by ensuring that it's healthier than what I was previously eating.

 At some point in time in the future, I'm planning to get back on my thyroid medication which will make it easier for me to lose weight, and my husband and I are going to implement an exercise routine back into our lives again. Baseball season for our son is coming up and it's the perfect way to get in some fun exercise.

 So hopefully I will be more active on this blog than I have been in the past. I would like to post healthy recipes I've found, or what I call my sub recipes where I substitute healthier options in old favorites. And I'm going to try to bring back my old Cocktail Cabaret posts from when I helped run a lifestyle website. I also plan to get back into jewelry making now that I've gotten my carpal tunnel syndrome fixed with surgeries to both hands. So I'll probably be posting pictures of my newest designs here as well.
